Rockey Yoo

Mr. Rockey Yoo is a senior foreign attorney at Shin & Kim who primarily concentrates on international dispute resolution. Rockey has experience with energy, construction, financial services, intellectual property licensing, shareholder, joint venture and M&A, and manufacturing issues.

He successfully beat the bulk of a US 1.6 billion dollar international arbitration claim against a Korean state-owned bank by a group of international commodity traders.

Mr. Yoo is a Canadian national and is qualified as a lawyer in New York and California and as a barrister and solicitor in Canada.

Rockey previously served as the Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, of which he currently presides as its Chair Emeritus. He is a member of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council for the Seoul Metropolitan Government and co-organizes the Canada Korea Energy Forum.
